Better Than Store Bought Homemade Syrup

This recipe is very easy and fast! I made the syrup after I was done making waffles, and the waffles were still warm when I put the syrup on the table!

Ingredients:

1 c sugar

1 c water

1/2 c brown sugar

2 T butter

2 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Place the water, sugars, and butter in a medium saucepan and stir.

  2. Place the saucepan on the stove on medium-high heat and continue stirring frequently.

  3. Once the mixture comes to a boil, let it boil for 3 minutes. Continue stirring it frequently.

  4. Take the saucepan off of the heat and add in the vanilla.

  5. Stir and serve!

*to keep leftovers, place your syrup in a jar in the fridge since it has butter in it.
